I worked as a puppet assistant on the Lion King UK Tour from July 2022 to March 2014.
Responsibilities and skills include:
- Upkeep and maintenance of over 100 puppets
-Assist with fitting masks and puppets to individual cast members
-Carry out a show call and backstage plot
-Painting to a specific brief and style
-Sewing, pattern making, machining.
-Understanding of electronics and mechanisms within the puppets.
-Moulding and casting using carbon fibre.
-Communicating with my team in a pressured backstage environment.
